The European Football Cup, which this year will be played in Germany, began on Friday evening 14 June. The opening match was between Germany and Scotland (at 9pm), while Italy plays for the first time on Saturday evening against Albania (also at 9pm). The tournament is in groups and will last from 14 to 26 June with 24 teams competing. The top two teams from each group will finish in the round of 16, plus the four best third-placed teams (based on the points scored and, in the event of a tie, with the difference between goals scored and conceded). After June 26th there will be two days of stop before the eliminations and the final on July 14th, which will be held at the Olympiastadion in Berlin. Here is the match schedule.
