The city archives the first weekend of events linked to the Castle Assault with extraordinary public participation.
ACERRA – An extraordinary weekend of history, culture, tradition and entertainment. It is with great public and critical success that Acerra ‘archives’ the first of the two weekends dedicated to the events of the Siege of the Castle, an event promoted by the municipal administration thanks to funds from the Metropolitan City and the Campania Region. A recognized perfect organizational machine culminated yesterday in the ‘Giostra del Cavaliere’, one of the novelties of the 2024 edition of the Assault.
Six knights who symbolically ‘faced off’ in throwing the ‘stone’, exciting and entertaining the public who filled the spaces of the Public Park in via Manzoni according to the maximum capacity foreseen as established by the safety plan. Entire families enjoyed a unique show, in an area set up specifically and which brought Acerra back to the glories of its medieval era. A show done by professionals and which ended with a ‘fire’ show. All that remains is to wait for next weekend when the Flag Waving Tournament is scheduled for Saturday 22 June, while the closing is on Sunday 23 June with the sensational assault on Piazza Castello and fireworks.
