Rafael Leao he said no to a very important offer that arrived in recent hours from Saudi Arabia and presented by an emissary to his father Antonio. He wrote it this morning Corriere dello Sport also delving into the details of the proposal received from Al Hilal for Milan and for the Portuguese talent currently involved with his national team at Euro2024.
The Saudi Pro League club, we read, would have put decidedly interesting figures on the table: 100 million euros for Milan, plus 20 net per season to be allocated to the player’s pockets. A very rich proposal which, however, made practically no one hesitate. Pushed by coach Jorge Jesus, the coach who had launched Leao among the professionals in 2017 with Sporting CP, Al Hilal made their move but found themselves blocked by the Rossoneri and the player himself.
For Milan, in fact, Leao remains a technical pillar of the present and future, also thanks to the long-term contract signed a few months ago, and for this very reason he will not budge from the possible termination clause: with 175 million euros, in fact, anyone will be able to buy player. As mentioned, however, there is also Leao’s will to consider: the player has in fact made it known that he wants to continue his career in Europe and specifically in Milan, thus postponing a possible transfer to Saudi Arabia to the future.
