Against the gangmaster and it exploitation at workon 25 June an event in memory of the laborer was organized and promoted by the Indian communities of Latina Satnam Singhwho tragically passed away a few days ago.

«What happened – states a statement from Coldiretti who participated in the demonstration in Latina with a national and local delegation – is an intolerable tragedy, which horrifies the agricultural world and confirms the need to fight gangmastering through severe penalties and rigorous controls, controls that target illegal work and exploitation, to protect the dignity of workers”.
«In the face of facts of such unprecedented gravity – the president of Copagri, Tommaso Battista, remarked in a statement – it is difficult to find suitable words, but at the same time we cannot remain silent, as there is much more at stake than economic stability of businesses; for this reason, we reiterate the need, already advanced in numerous institutional forums, not least in the discussion held in recent days at the Ministry of Labour, to take back control and properly promote the single institutional platform for the intermediation of labor in agriculturewhile working at the same time to cross-reference the databases available to the Public Administration”.
