Livorno 17 June 2024 – Non-compliant food supplements, a 59-year-old from Livorno fined
The Carabinieri of the Anti-adulteration and Health Unit of Livorno, as part of the services arranged by the superior Command for the Protection of Health in the food supplements sector, in synergy with the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Livorno which contributes in the services with the employees of the territorial commands respectively competent for the territory, oriented towards the search for products that are dangerous for the health of consumers, have imposed an administrative fine on a 59-year-old from Livorno who owns a supplement retailer in the Labronian capital.
During the inspection, the military ascertained that in the commercial establishment pre-packaged products of various brands and formats were displayed for sale, equipped with labels without the required wording and indications in Italian.
Among these, 21 packages of products with an estimated commercial value of approximately €600 were seized as a precaution, as well as being hit with a fine amounting to €2,000.
The checks by the Carabinieri of the NAS and the territorial police will continue throughout the provincial territory, also in collaboration with the competent health authorities.
