The 2024 European Football Championship begins today with the first match on the calendar between Germany and Scotland. Spalletti’s Italy made its debut by winning against Albania. Here are the groups with the 24 teams, the match calendar and the dates of the Azzurri’s matches.
The European Football Championships 2024 which began with Germany’s large victory (5-1) over Scotland. L’Italy by Luciano Spalletti he began against Albaniais called to defend the title won in 2021 at Wembley.
A total of 24 national teams will participate in the European football championship, divided into 6 groups of 4: only 16 will advance to the round of 16. All matches will be broadcast live on TV and free-to-air streaming on Rai as well as on Sky and Now.
The Italian national football team – here are all the Azzurri players called up and the starting line-up – made their debut by beating Albania 2-1 while on 20 June they will face Spain and finally Croatia on 24 June: the Azzurri do not start as favorites at the starting line but they will try to overturn the predictions as happened at the last European Championships. When Italy plays in the 2024 European Championships: matches and group
Italy took to the field for its debut on 15 June against Albania for the first match of the group stage, won 2-1 with goals from Bastoni and Barella. Below is the complete calendar of the Azzurri, included in Group B.

Where to watch the European Championships on TV and streaming
All fifty-one matches of the European Championships will be broadcast by Sky which has purchased the rights to broadcast the entire competition. Rai, on the other hand, will broadcast all of Italy’s matches free of charge, as well as those from the direct elimination phase (i.e. from the round of 16 onwards) and some matches from the group phase: in total, state TV will show without any need for subscription for 31 games in total, defined as best match. The Azzurri will always be visible on Rai 1, while the other matches will be free-to-air on Rai1, Rai2, Rai SportHD.
Live streaming of the European Championships will instead be guaranteed to all Sky subscribers through the SkyGo app which will broadcast the entire competition, while those who wish can subscribe to Now TV so as not to miss any matches. The races broadcast on Rai can instead be followed in streaming on RaiPlay.
