Opera singers, music and performances. Via Bergamo, the city’s nightlife street, comes alive with opera music, paying homage to Puccini’s famous opera “E Lucean le stelle”.
An evening of music, culture and entertainment organized for Thursday 27 June with five stations where artistic performances will take place to the tune of Puccini’s melodrama. “The objective is to make young people in their twenties and thirties, who frequent the clubs on via Bergamo, aware of the link between Puccini and Monza and the Maestro’s works. The first station (located at the crossroads between via Pesa del lino and via Bergamo ) provides a stage structure with the necessary audio backline, where the musicians and dancers will be present. The other four positions each require the presence of two singers: soprano and tenor, accompanied by a pianist with digital piano, on platforms, and the necessary audio backline. they will be located in the middle and at the end of Via Bergamo” explain from Conficommercio which together with the Committee and the Mnemosyne Association which is the leader, organized the appointment with the collaboration of the traders.
“Flyers will be distributed during the evening in which Puccini in Monza will be described and the summary of the operas whose arias will be performed in the evening. The users of the event will walk along the street. The locals in via Bergamo will be invited to create non-alcoholic cocktails dedicated to the titles or characters of Puccini’s operas”. The event is part of the “MONZA and GIACOMO PUCCINI – A requited love” exhibition, organized by the Monzese Committee for the Puccini Celebrations 2024 which includes the major cultural associations of the city which will continue until 6 July.
