As anticipated this morning (read HERE), the enthusiasm in Cosenza for the redemption from Parma of Gennaro Onesie it’s already waned by now. In fact, after a great season, the attacker is ready to compete on higher level stages, as his agent specified yesterday to TuttomercatoWeb.com: “Tutino’s professional objectives do not coincide with those of Cosenza. He wants to play in Serie A or fight in a B team that can win the championship by storm, I think Cosenza can’t fight for this. His cycle ended last season.”
The player and his agent were surprised by President Guarascio’s choice, which he had not anticipated wanting to renew, creating havoc in plans for the future: “I was left speechless by President Guarascio’s behavior. He didn’t even bother to do anything a phone call to the player to tell him that his intentions were to buy him out. Since I’ve been doing this job, it’s never happened to me that a club that wants to buy out a player hasn’t made a call I received phone calls from Ursino and Delvecchio but they didn’t tell me clearly the president’s intentions because they didn’t know them. But one thing is certain I say it with great determination: like it or not, the Tutino cycle in Cosenza is over.”
From Cosenza, however, several newspapers today spoke about the dominant position of the club with respect to the player, thanks to the contract until 2027. The agent, however, dismantled this hypothesis, clarifying to TMW: “I feel sorry for those who are ill-informed, but I want to point out that Gennaro’s contract will expire in 2026 and not in 2027 as they write in Cosenza. Therefore he could leave as a free agent in February 2026.”
