Salerno – The twelfth edition of Salerno Letteratura kicked off on Saturday 15 June, the renowned literary festival which will enliven the historic center of the Campania city until 22 June. With over 140 Italian and international guests, this year’s edition promises to be a unique cultural experience for literature lovers.
Homage to Kafka and questions about the future
This year, the festival pays homage to Franz Kafka on the centenary of his death, with a central theme: “The right questions to try to question the present and the future”. An invitation to reflect on the importance of questions in the cultural sphere and on the fundamental role of reflection in understanding the world around us.
This edition’s guests include illustrious names such as Goffredo Buccini, Walter Siti, Aldo Schiavone, Irvine Welsh and Roberto Esposito, who will enliven a series of meetings, debates and literary presentations. The festival will also offer thematic sections dedicated to Kafka and the dialogue between scientists and humanists.
Appointments for all tastes
Salerno Letteratura Festival offers a program full of events for all tastes, with workshops and meetings dedicated to young readers, special events related to food and nutrition, screenings of films and short films.
Of particular note is the collaboration with the University of Salerno and with the very young students of the “Sabatini-Menna” Art School.
