This meeting will be followed in June by a pilot training project on the prevention of digital and financial fraud, according to the following calendar:

He makes it clear how important it is to educate citizens about the dangers of fraud Councilor Gabriella Porcaro pointing out: “We wanted to delve deeper into the topic of computer fraud, an aspect in which the Municipality of Pisa is already involved in an information and dissemination campaign to protect the elderly so that they do not fall into the network of scams, which represent an alarming and growing phenomenon, so is that the Minister of the Interior has already adopted a whole series of measures and also expanded the financial platform to allow all municipalities to implement proximity and protection actions for the elderly, while specifically this morning, thanks to a very important parterre of speakers, we will delve deeper into the topic, as well as illustrating the “Pilot Project” that the Municipality of Pisa will launch in collaboration with Poste Italiane, thanks to which we will intensify these proximity actions, ensuring that the elderly can understand what the new dynamics are for adopting self-protection behaviors, together with the implementation of measures at individual post offices and the distribution of handbooks so that the elderly do not feel alone and can not be surprised by these increasingly sophisticated impostors“.

The words of the Councilor are echoed by those of Director of the Pisa branch of Poste Italiane Fabrizio Gaudio, which highlights; “The project launched was born from a sensitivity recorded with the activity carried out by the Municipality of Pisa a few months ago and connected to the support and support of citizen customers near and inside Post Offices, Banks and Financial Offices, a circumstance from which the knowledge and development of the phenomenon relating to scams mainly to the detriment of the elderly, ensuring that this synergy with the Municipal Administration was born, if we take into account that Poste Italiane, which represents the largest service company in the country, warns, suffers and manages the phenomenon of fraud in an important way, especially technological fraud. So here it is“, concludes Fabrizio Gaudio, “that we thought together about organizing both this event and, in particular, a concrete activity that will develop during the next month of June where we will have, at some important city post offices, the implementation of a “Pilot Project”, through dedicated corners and stations where Poste Italiane with its experts and the Postal Police will be able to provide customers with the necessary information, as well as directly supporting and managing any critical situations linked to fraudulent situations“.
