Inconveniences ahead for those traveling on Sunday and in the early hours of Monday due to a national strike by the mobile staff of the Trenitalia, Trenitalia Tper companies. The strike in Trenitalia was proclaimed by the autonomous trade union association National Assembly pdm/pdb (engine personnel and on-board personnel) from 3am on Sunday 16th to 2am on Monday 17th June. “The national strike could have repercussions on railway traffic and lead to possible total and partial cancellations of Frecce, Intercity, Trenitalia Regional and Trenitalia Tper trains”, warns Trenitalia, underlining that the effects, in terms of cancellations and delays, “could occur even before and continue beyond the end time of the strike”. The company invites all passengers to inform themselves before going to the station and, where possible, to reschedule their journey. The staff of Trenord regional trains in Milan and Lombardy will also stop in the same hours, after a stop proclaimed by Uiltrasporti and Orsa railways. At the same time, the on-board staff of the regional railway transport of Campania will also cross their arms. The regional unions of Filt Cgil, Fit Cisl, Uiltrasporti, Ugl Ferrovieri, Fast and Orsa have proclaimed a 23-hour strike to “demand better working conditions” for Trenitalia Dbr Campania crew personnel.
