TERAMO. Music and laughter with Nino Frassica & Los Plaggers Band, the centenary of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with the Orchestra of the Abruzzo Symphonic Institution: here are the two proposals for the summer of the Riccitelli Society, organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Teramo and included in the Teramo Natura calendar Indomitable.
The two evenings were presented to the press yesterday in the Science Park by the president of Riccitelli, Alessandra Striglioni in Toritogether with the mayor Gianguido D’Alberto and to the councilor for culture Antonio Filipponthe. Nino Frassica and the six musicians of the Plaggers Band (fusion between Platters, the legendary American group of the fifties, and plagiarism) will be in Teramo on Friday 26 July: appointment at 9.30 pm in Piazza Martiri for a show which, after the successful winter tour in theaters, will face the tour summer of the squares, announced with witty emphasis by the comedian from Messina as the “2000-3000 tour”. A show between cabaret and musical cavalcade, with a hundred famous songs revisited by Frassica and his band: from the hits of the sixties and seventies to the present day, from Santana to Battisti, from “Cacao marvelo” to advertising tunes. Numbered seats, tickets at 25 euros + 2 euros presale fees for the 1st sector, 15 euros + 2 for the 2nd sector; presale already active online and in the Riccitelli offices.
Monday 19 August, Piazza Sant’Anna at 9.30 pm, cultured music with the Orchestra of the Abruzzo Symphonic Institution, excellence of our region, and two valuable performers such as Federico Mondelci sax soloist and director e Giuliano Mazzoccante on the piano. The songs “Four Pictures from New York” by Roberto Molinelli, “La création du monde” op. 81 of Darius Milhaudending with the famous Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin, which marks the centenary of its first performance, which took place on 12 February 1924 at the Aeolian Hall in New York, with Gershwin himself on the piano. Single seat 8 euros + 2 (pre-sale not yet active). «Happy to be present with two completely different proposals and, we hope, both appreciated by the public», said Striglioni ne’ Tori, «good music, healthy irony, a character, Nino Frassica, much loved by the public. The second appointment takes us back to the great repertoires and great performers, with the presence of the Abruzzo Symphonic Institution and two exceptional soloists”.
