All you need is dog is a dog groomer, but not a “traditional” one like so many in the province, but rather a “mobile” one, on 4 wheels. Roberta Chianura has invested in herself and, after taking a grooming course, she has set up a van in which she washes dogs and travels throughout the province of Ravenna and beyond. «I have always loved dogs, but in my life I had never thought of working in this environment. One evening, on TV I heard the story of a Roman boy who was a blacksmith for horses and donkeys, restoring their hooves to their original shape. A craftsman who carried out his profession in an itinerant manner, moving with his van to different areas of Italy. That’s how the idea came to me.” The business officially started last July and in almost a year Roberta has made herself known for her scented baths and ozone treatments for dogs of all breeds not only in the Ravenna area, but also in the hills from Santa Sofia to Bagno di Romagna up to San Piero in Bagno and has entered into some interesting collaborations. «For some time now I have been working with the Max Vismara dog centre, in via degli Insorti 4 in Savarna which offers both boarding and dog sitting services. For customers who ask and who bring their dog to boarding to go on holiday, I show up the day before their return to wash it.” A “useful” collaboration thanks to which a person can bring home a clean dog without having to go to the groomer. «I thought that by moving I could reach the areas not served by “traditional” groomers, I would be useful to the elderly who have difficulty taking their dog to the groomer, to those who, for work reasons, struggle to find the time, to those who have large dogs struggling to get into the car.” Roberta also collaborates with the professional photographer from Forlì Gloria Teti. “I noticed that, for your dog’s first bath, the whole family often comes to watch and take nice photos so I thought I might like the idea of having a professional photo shoot to immortalize certain fun moments.” But Roberta’s ideas did not stop there: she has, in fact, thought of collaborating this year too with the Florenz campsite in Lido degli Scacchi by placing the van in the square and being joined by the guests of the structure. «I would also like to work in Santa Sofia or Bagno di Romagna and surrounding areas, areas where many tourists go for the spa». With her completely independent 4-wheeled wellness center with water and electricity, air-conditioned for the summer and heated for the winter, Roberta arrives at the clients’ homes «but also at the office for those who bring their dog to work! » and it covers the entire province of Ravenna, the Faenza area, Lower Romagna, but also in the hills above Cesena.
