Rimini, 7 kg of hashish and switchblade: two arrests

The activity, developed following the information-investigative acquisitions of the Flying Squad, is the result of an implementation of controls, also following the numerous reports received and the monitoring of widespread crime phenomena in the city area, in particular for the dealing of narcotic substances.

In fact, in recent days, the areas near some shopping centers have been monitored as possible drug dealing areas. In this sense, the Flying Squad investigators were keeping under control two subjects who, for several minutes, had been stationed near the car park of the Malatesta shopping center in Rimini.

The two, close to their respective cars, one of which had an open bonnet, moved with a clearly suspicious attitude, as if they were about to carry out an exchange, displaying visible nervousness.

In fact, at the sight of the operators, they appeared intolerant of the police control, so much so that, upon completion of the same, they were found in possession of a hashish-type narcotic substance, hidden under the rear mat of the vehicle, divided into 14 packaged blocks, for a total weight of approximately 7 kg. One of the two subjects, probably the buyer, was found in possession of three packs of cash, in banknotes of various denominations, for a total of 21,550.00 euros, a sum which was subjected to criminal seizure.

Furthermore, one of the two, hidden inside a trouser pocket, had a switchblade with a snap opening.

Those arrested, without specific precedents, were associated with the local prison and made available to the prosecuting judicial authority.
