With Zoet’s farewell Spezia will have to look for two goalkeepers: one experienced and one younger to entrust with the goal for next season. In particular, strong rumors about the owner arrived from Palermo this morning Mirko Pigliacelli, defined at the farewell passage in a decision confirmed by the City Group. The rosanero’s idea would be to give space to the young Desplanches. The Sicilian newspaper he spoke of a need to find a reserve goalkeeper for Dionisi, including Brignoli, Berisha and Consigli. Pigliacelli, it goes without saying, due to his experience he could become an interesting element to whom to entrust the Spezia goal, but to the microphones of TMW the agent of the goalkeeper Caravello branded the news arriving from Sicily as fake news.

Given that there is no doubt about the fact that Mirko Pigliacelli was and still is very well in Palermo, where he has always given his all, both on and off the pitch, for this shirt and this club, today I happened to read that we are out of the project Palermo, that we are necessarily on the market and that, if we do not accept certain destinations, we will be put off the list or out of the squad by the company. I think it is, at the very least, disrespectful to think and/or write certain concepts, firstly towards Pigliacelli and then, also towards Palermo and an ownership team that has never behaved in this way and I am sure will never do so, towards one of its members who has always stood out for his commitment and attachment to the shirt.
Having said that, I have been doing this job for more than twenty years and it has never happened to me that I didn’t find the right compromise with a club for the good of my clients, so the dialogue with Palermo and its technical part was and is optimal, there is a continuous and daily comparison and, together, we will make the right decision and do the best thing in the interests of Pigliacelli and Palermo and if the club’s choice is to put Mirko on the market, we will accept it without causing controversy and with the great seriousness and professionalism that have always distinguished us.
