Italy-Albania is valid for the first match of the group stage, group B, of Euro 2024.
The match is scheduled for June 15th at 9pm at the BVB stadium in Dortmund
Curiosities of the match Italy-Albania:
– This will be the first meeting between Italy and Albania in a major competition. The Azzurri have won all four previous matches (friendly and qualifiers) against the Eagles (seven goals scored and one conceded in the partial), all played from 2014 onwards.
– This will be Italy’s 11th participation in the UEFA European Championships: only Germany and Spain have won the tournament more times than the Azzurri (twice, in 1968 and 2020).
– Italy could become the second team to win two consecutive UEFA European Championships after Spain (2008 and 2012).
– Italy has never conceded more than one goal in the last two editions of the UEFA European Championships (2016 and 2020): only six goals conceded by the Azzurri in the period.

Nicolò Barella is the player of the Italian national team who provided more assists (three) and created more scoring chances than any other teammate during the EURO 2024 qualifiers (15, or at least seven more than the second Domenico Berardi with eight ). The Azzurri midfielder also served two winning passes at EURO 2020, which Italy later won.
Sylvinho is the second coach to lead Albania in a major international competition, after Gianni De Biasi at EURO 2016, and will be the first coach at the helm of a national team participating in the UEFA European Championship since Luiz Felipe Scolari, with Portugal, in 2008.
