Car-motorcycle collision: two injured, one seriously

Accident between car and motorbike, this afternoon, Saturday 15 June shortly after 3pm, on the Romea state road, at the bridge that connects the island of Ariano to Porto Viro. And the clash occurred precisely in the municipal area of ​​Porto Viro.

The worst, as unfortunately happens in these cases, were the two people traveling on the motorbike, who they were thrown from the vehicle and both suffered injuries, which in a first case, upon initial examination, appeared to be serious. Fortunately, neither of them ever lost consciousness, but the Suem helicopter also intervened to ensure immediate rescue on site. One of the two people, seriously injured, was then taken by air ambulance to hospital in Padua. for appropriate treatment; the other injured person was instead taken into care by the Suem which assigned him a medium severity code.

In addition to the medical personnel, the police also intervened on site to investigate the case and to ascertain the causes of the accident. The firefighters of the Rovigo command were also present to make the vehicles involved safe.

Traffic on the Romea suffered heavy slowdowns in both directions, at a “crucial” point for traffic, that is the entrance to the bridge over the Po. On both lanes, in fact, Queues exceeding a total length of five kilometers were reported.
