TRIESTE Significant inconveniences were recorded on Saturday morning on the slip road that leads from the A4 exit at Padriciano to the “H” junction, due to the closure of the “Carso” tunnel for internal maintenance work.
From the early hours of the morning, in a crescendo that developed especially around lunch time, long queues formed, with tourist cars and trucks joining the residents.

Around midday the queue started right at the exit and ended at the “H” junction, because all the traffic flow which, normally, in the direction of the port and the industrial area is divided into two lanes, was concentrated on the single lane downhill from the old 202.
Meanwhile, slowdowns are also expected in the next few hours along the motorway junction, where at 1.30 pm traffic began on only one carriageway in each direction on the stretch between Prosecco and Sistiana.

From 8pm this evening, Saturday 15 June, until 6am on Sunday 16, traffic on the section of the motorway connecting Prosecco and Sistiana will be completely interrupted to allow work on the Sistiana flyover. In fact, in these days we will proceed with the placement of a new load-bearing structure, composed of three 46 meter long beams, a determining element of the new overpass. The operation will also involve the workers in the preliminaries and in the phase following positioning.
