PESCARA. The animal origin food hygiene service of the Local Health Authority carried out the immediate closure of a catering business due to serious hygienic-sanitary deficiencies, seizing and sending for destruction approximately 6 kg of frozen meat and fish which lacked the identifying elements for the purposes of traceability. The related sanctions for the administrative violations found were also increased.
In another commercial activity, the health authority staff detected minor discrepancies which are now the subject of prescriptions, compliance with which will be verified in the next few days after a follow-up check. This is the outcome of the operation carried out last night by the police in the centre, in collaboration with the local health authority itself, the local police officers and the labor inspectorate.
A bar and three refreshment areas were monitored with the provision of food and drinks. The labor inspectors instead detected two irregularities due to the lack of authorization of the video surveillance systems. Finally, the police station informs, the illicit presence of two workers was found in a public catering establishment, one of which was found to be illegal, and therefore its deferred closure was ordered.
