Pordenone, 15 June – “The Nonsel Festival is always an important moment that brings together not only the city around its river, but also, thanks to the important commitment of Pro Pordenone and Pro Loco Pordenone, many voluntary associations that through moments like this seek the bringing together of young people to ensure that generational transition and therefore guarantee the maintenance of traditions, memory and these beautiful initiatives for the community.” The regional councilor for Infrastructure and Territory, Cristina Amirante, said this this morning in Pordenone, participating in the official start of the celebrations on the river linked to the Nonsel Festival. A two-day event that will see the traditional cultural festival, musical shows, markets, food and wine kiosks, walks on nature trails, environmental and social initiatives and sporting events enliven the city area close to the Noncello river. “The Region – continued Amirante – is attentive and close to the Pro Loco also through financing lines in support of the structures where the associations organize events. On the purely territorial and environmental front however – the councilor specified – the regional Administration, through the River Contracts, it stands alongside projects that aim to enhance the waterways through a participatory involvement of all the subjects, such as bodies and associations, who are involved in some way representative of the Regional Executive – is very useful for identifying the guidelines within the Territorial Government Plan as the rivers, when they touch inhabited centers and cities as for example happens with the Noncello, are one of the fundamental elements of the regional territorial planning”. Over thirty voluntary associations collaborated in the creation of the festival that concludes spring and introduces summer, as well as celebrating the identity fusion of Pordenone with its Noncello river.
