Province: mayors to vote on September 29, electoral office established

The lights on the municipal elections in Cremona have not yet gone out, but those for the elections for the president and the Council of the Province of Cremona, which will be held on 29 September, are already turning on. As is known, it is the mayors and city councilors in office who have to express themselves and cross-party discussions have been underway for some time. The weight of the Municipality of Cremona is decisive in the election of the President, the only position that after the Del Rio reform has decision-making power in the Corso Vittorio Emanuele II body, and for this reason the outcome of the ballot next weekend will be decisive.

As the election of Mirko Signoroni four years ago demonstrated, alliances can be transversal, with the pact between “civics” (formerly FI) and the Democratic Party. We will see if this time too – as the outgoing provincial councilors of Forza Italia and Lega have already feared – something similar will happen.

Meanwhile, the body has taken the first bureaucratic steps for the consultations on 29 September, with the establishment of the electoral office. It will be chaired by the general secretary Carmelo Fontana, with effective members the managers Barbara Faroni, vice president, Sabrina Satta, Mattia Guastaldi; the employees Elisa Bentivoglio; Gabriella Anzani; Gaetano Indovina; Andrea Carli; Marta Guerreschi; Francesca Majori; Salvatore Guzzardo; Paola Quarantani. Substitutes from the Electoral Office, Paola Feriancich and Guido Bellini. gb
