Appointment of scrutineers and coastal interventions, the opposition questions the city council – TraniLive.it

Work on the Gruccione Bay, access to the sea, the wall of the municipal villa and the direct appointment of the scrutineers for the European elections are among the topics at the center of the next Trani city council. The city council meets again in an extraordinary session tomorrow at Palazzo Palmieri with the first meeting at 4.30 pm: on the agenda are the questions presented by the opposition councillors. The first point to pay attention to concerns the works planned on the southern coast, for clarifications requested by councilor De Toma (FI) on alleged missing hydrogeological authorizations aimed at protecting the bee-eater species in the bay of the same name. Councilor Di Leo (Lega), in addition to denouncing critical issues regarding the SUAP office, raises the “scrutineers case”, already anticipated in the days preceding the elections of 8 and 9 June. The controversy concerns the direct appointment, and not by drawing lots, of the 220 voting operations staff. Fingers pointed at the centre-left majority, accused of not having involved all the political forces in the choice and of having also excluded the weakest groups from the nomination. This will be followed by space for questions to be presented in oral form, with Ferri (FdI) announcing that he wishes to delve into the merits of the situation of coasts and access to the sea which are not always guaranteed along public beaches. Furthermore, focus is on the safety of schools, deblattisation and the state of the works on the wall of the municipal villa of Trani, which seem to have stopped for some time: the majority and the managers have the task of responding to the questions signed by the opposition.
