BUSTO ARSIZIO – Letter of thanks to the Municipality from a couple over eighty, who were saved by the police from a scam into which they would surely fall. Husband and wife wrote to mayor Emanuele Antonelli. The letter is also addressed to the security councilor Salvatore Loschiavo and the commander of the Local Police Stefano Lanna.
The couple explains that they are always very careful to avoid falling for scams. And to have already escaped the so-called “false accident scam” in the past, thanks to the prevention activity carried out by the police. When the call came from these scammers, they already knew what to answer.
This time the seller defined himself as a “sanitary doctor”. He pretended to know their state of health and would make himself available to resolve the situation. At that point, however, he added that he would show up in the afternoon. At that point the call to the police was made.
Local police officers took up position and blocked the seller. Who in the end just wanted to sell a product with unscrupulous methods, making use of his gab. But if they had signed, the elders explain, they would have bitterly regretted it.
In the letter, he elderly spouses express “esteem, gratitude and gratitude” towards the officers who intervened.
