Red light scandal in Lower Garda: for the now ex priest of the “hot summer” by the lake, between hot parties and “crack smoking”, the closure of the case is imminent. The agreement on plea bargain he has already been found: one year and eight months, with a suspended sentence. Before we can formalize it, however, the former priest of the Diocese of Verona was called by the judge to compensate the victims who reported it: among them, there is also the trans immortalized while fleeing from the former priest’s home by throwing herself out of the window. But there is also a second victim. «Only later did I learn that he was a priest… There was nothing that could make me think so. In the house there were crucifixes and religious paintings, but I would never have thought that he was a man of the Church…”. This is what he said Venezuelan Walter, 31 years oldon the «priest of scandals» who in recent months made headlines in Lower Garda: «That priest he targeted young, foreign boys and lured them on apps and dating sites… He talked and smoked crack, said I could do whatever I wanted. There was often a lot of people coming and going from her house.”
The complaints
Walter, bartenderis one of the two victims who with their complaints got the 65-year-old priest incardinated in the Diocese of Verona into trouble: the other is, in fact, a transsexual hosted by the former priest in his former home in Desenzano del Garda. Both are injured parties in the courtroom against the now former priest who practiced in the Brescia area and who, before renouncing his position for health reasons, belonged to the Diocese of Verona. The case is now known both in the Veronese and Brescia areas. First the young man’s accusations bartender Venezuelan, who dthe priest was charged with threats and (alleged) unpaid sexual services. Then the escape of a naked trans, in the first days of Augustfrom the window of the “don” himself. Finally, the same priest was reported by the police for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing.
Victims to be compensated
He, the man of the Church, protagonist of the “hot summer”, he admitted “flaws and weaknesses” but denied it firmly every form of violence. Now he wants to close the case as soon as possible and put an end to the outcry. He spoke of health problems, but absolutely denied the alleged abuse: “I have never used violence against anyone” he made it clear. Even the threats would have been reduced: “Just a warning,” the don specified. And while the former faithful cannot understand the “hidden vices” of the former priest, describing themselves on social media as “still shocked, reading about him in the newspapers was a stab in the heart,” the closure of the dispute in the court in Brescia seems imminent. In fact, a new episode, probably the last, of the preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday 28 June underway before the preliminary hearing judge Gaia Sorrentino: the magistrate will verify whether, as he had shown himself willing to do at the last hearing, the accused actually took steps to compensate the two victims of his summer “exploits”, after which he will decide whether or not to give the go-ahead under the terms of the plea agreement, 20 months with a suspended sentence, on which the prosecutor and the defense have already reached an agreement.
