Ron in concert in Trentino and Alto Adige

From the title of one of his greatest hits, “Come una Arrow in Bottom of the Heart”, comes Ron’s summer tour, which starting from June 23rd will take him around all of Italy. The artist is expected on August 11th in Merano (province of Bolzano) in Piazza Terme e on September 7th at the Fai della Paganella, at the Paganella Fun Park, in Trento.

Thus continues RON’s live journey – a dimension he has always preferred, given his qualities as a musician and composer – which began with the theater tour “At the exact center of music”.

After the great winter success, the singer-songwriter from Pavia will bring his music live in an electric version – in a quartet or sextet, depending on the dates and characteristics of the venue – for a less intimate and more rhythmic show, focused more on songs with uptempo sounds – and which promises some surprises.

In fact, in the summer lineup, RON will propose some songs and covers rarely performed live: Per questo notte che cade giu (from the 1983 album Calypso), the wonderful Italian versions of two global successes, Hai capito o no (I can’t go for that by Daryl Hall & John Oates) and Wounds and Tears (You, by Ten Sharp), and Cosa I’ll Do (cover of Lonely Boy by Andrew Gold, taken from the 1982 album Look Who You See).

There will be no shortage of masterpieces from his repertoire together with some of the hits that RON wrote for illustrious colleagues (from Joe Temerario to I would like to meet you in a hundred years, from Anima to Chissà se lo sai up to the very famous A city to sing, passing through We don’t need of words, At the center of music, The giant and the little girl, Piazza Grande, What will be) as well as some of the most recent songs taken from the album Sono un son, and the homage to Luigi Tenco (Lontano far).

“What I like about concerts is being able to move from one musical world to another, because music is like that: it can always be listened to and appreciated. Summer is then full of colours, particular sounds, memories and songs that people need to take back in their hands…songs that evoke in each of us moments of our past relived with nostalgia…emotions that suddenly strike ‘like a arrow at the bottom of the heart” declared RON.

Produced by IMARTS, “Like a arrow at the bottom of the heart” will see Giuseppe Tassoni (piano and keyboards), Roberto Di Virgilio (guitars), Roberto Gallinelli (bass), Matteo Di alternating on stage with RON (on guitar, piano and vocals). Francesco (drums) and Stefania Tasca (backing vocals, percussion and guitar). Another great news for fans of author music: two of the most particular albums in RON’s discography will be released for the first time on vinyl on June 21st by the Saifam label: Way Out” and “In Concerto”.

“Way Out”, RON’s twenty-second album, released in 2013 and containing twelve covers of songs by the Anglo-American singer-songwriters of that period, translated into Italian by RON himself and Mattia Del Forno: Ball of cannon (Cannonball by Damien Rice); I’m Getting Ready, by Michael Kiwanuka); Boy (Kid, by Amos Lee); There’s No Going Back (I Can’t Go Back Now, by The Weepies); Orange Sky (by Alexi Murdock); Grantorino (Grantorino, by Jamie Cullum); Keep Your Head Up, by Ben Howard; Bulletproof Pride, feat. Omar Pedrini) (Bulletproof Pride, by K’naan); Freedom (Freedom, by David Gray); Stop This Train, by John Mayer; Dreaming Like a Fool, by The Boy Who Trapped The Sun); Year of the Rat by Badly Drawn Boy. “Way out” will now be available on vinyl for the first time, in an orange colored / 180 gram edition with a limited and numbered edition (300 copies).

“In Concerto” is an album that documents the 2007 live show with the Tuscan Jazz Orchestra at the Martinetti Theater in Garlasco, the city where the singer-songwriter lives, and with which he revisited many songs from his best repertoire in a unique way, lengthening the songs , the musical moments and sinking into the melody. Among these, the classics and Beware of the Wolf, Sei Volata Away, When I Will Be Capable of Love, I Am Michele, The Song of Water. “In concerto” will now be released for the first time on double vinyl, in a turquoise colored / 180 gram edition with a limited and numbered edition (300 copies).

Ron’s career is one of the most important on the Italian singer-songwriter scene, with a very rich and among the most beautiful repertoire of our music. With his talent and compositional intuitions, in his very long artistic career RON has signed many masterpieces and many successes, even for giants of our songwriting. He has released 26 studio albums, won the Sanremo Festival (with I would like to meet you in a hundred years, paired with Tosca), and the Festivalbar (with Anima). In October last year, he received the Tenco Lifetime Achievement Award, sealing a state of artistic and personal grace.
