The Antonini tsunami does not stop. The president of Trapani who brought an overwhelming wave to basketball due to his enormous investments. At times, however, allowing himself to be betrayed by certain of his character impulses (see the dismissal, after the collapse in the semi-final of the Italian Cup – by Fortitudo, a constant on his path this year – Parente who had won 27 games out of 29 in the championship) and overflowing public utterances.
Now, after the promotion, the goal is to bring the Granata club to compete for the scudetto. Or at least that’s what was said. So it is a succession of rumors that sometimes contradict each other.
And in a few days we have gone from ambitions of bringing a coach like Banchi to Trapani (who however will remain at Virtus) or big names like Mannion, Tonut, Abass, even Melli, but now, from sources, such as the La Casa di C di Gianluca Di Marzio, we talk about bitterness, resignation and the desire to give up everything already. What hurt Antonini was Daspo’s request from the Bologna Police Headquarters towards him but also the lack of public participation in the (paid) party for the promotion of Trapani football and the Sharks, organized and trumpeted by hiring stars of the entertainment industry.
And there is also talk of the intention to mandate a well-known company in the financial intermediation sector to try to find buyers for its shares.
The hope is that just a summer storm, that common sense prevails over instinct, would be a bad ending to a story that has just begun that no one would understand, harmful to everyone.
And that doesn’t deserve the passion of a city that has just rediscovered Serie A basketball 32 years later and is continuing to dream
