By delegation of the District Attorney of Naples, we inform you that the Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit of Naples have carried out a precautionary custody order in prison issued by the GIP of the Court of Naples, at the request of the local District Anti-Mafia Directorate, against a seriously suspected person of the crimes of complicity of persons in the multi-aggravated murder of Ferrara Salvatore and simultaneous wounding of De Lucia Ugo and Caldieri Antonio, in the murder of Magnetti Luigi and Fusco Carmine, as well as illegal possession and carrying of weapons aggravated by the mafia method and the aim of facilitate the “Amato-Pagano” Camorra clan, operating in the northern area of the city of Naples and in some towns in the province.
In particular, the murders and woundings in reference occurred in Naples and Arzano (NA), on 25 September 2007 and 9 February 2008 respectively.
The measure carried out is a precautionary measure ordered during preliminary investigations, against which appeals are permitted and the recipients of the same are people subjected to investigations and, therefore, presumed innocent until a final sentence is reached.
