PESARO – Vuelle makes Eric Lombardi official and thinks about the return of Simone Zanotti. After opening the transfer session with the arrival of the pivot Quirino De Laurentiis, the company accelerates operations and makes official Lombardi, born on 1 February 1993, a 201 cm winger weighing 100 kg, who returns to A2 and does so as an employee of Pino Sacripanti, his coach in Naples between 2020 and 2022, characterized by promotion to the Lba.

The satisfaction

«I am very happy for the trust of a prestigious club like Vuelle. I am ready to give everything I have to repay this trust and a further incentive will be to work again with coach Sacripanti, who I know well and who has already trained me in Naples. I’m really excited for this intense year that awaits us in which we will try to bring Pesaro back to where it deserves to be” were his first words after signing the two-year contract. Lombardi, after taking his first steps in Biella, spent two years in A with Pistoia, then another two years in A2 in Treviso, then a return move to Biella, then two years in Naples and finally the season in Treviglio in new in A2. After playing in 2023/24 in Serie A in Brindisi, with which he exercised his exit clause from the contract yesterday, the 31-year-old winger drops down a category to join Vuelle’s cause and Simone Zanotti could follow the same path. The big man born in 1992, also sought by Forlì, would be a welcome return to the Pesaro home where he played for four seasons between 2018 and 2022. Zanotti contributed to Vanoli Cremona’s last excellent season in Lba with 5.1 points and 56% on a two-point shot in just over 12 minutes of average use. In the event of a green light, Pesaro would have essentially defined the rotation in the roles of ‘4’ and ‘5’ with the trio Lombardi, Zanotti and De Laurentiis.

The negotiations

A completely new face in the Vuelle house would instead be that of Daniele Toscano, another name linked in the last few hours in Pesaro. The small forward born in 1993, who can also play as a 4 if necessary, is another element of experience in A2, where he defended the colors in the last two seasons for Cento. Toscano would guarantee solidity on the perimeter for Vuelle, whose idea appears to be to aim for the hiring of the two non-EU citizens in the small sector. While several negotiations are about to materialize at the start, the final chapter on Andrea Cinciarini’s future has not yet been written: but the chances of seeing the playmaker again in the red and white jersey next season are slim to a minimum. In the meantime, for a few days the company has made use of a market consultant, Nicola Egidio, who is working alongside coach Sacripanti and the staff: the two had already collaborated last season at Scafati.
