Tram construction site, closes a section of via Giulio Cesare

In Ponteranica and near the Gewiss Stadium: it is around these two nodes, corresponding to as many stops considered strategic, that the work will be concentrated in the summer the construction of the new tram line, the T2 Bergamo-Villa d’Almè. Construction sites which will however make it necessary to modify the surrounding roads.
Specifically, in Bergamo, from Thursday 20th to 31st August the section of Viale Giulio Cesare will be closed to traffic between numbers 26 and 31. They are located in the final part of the avenue, the one that from the stadium (after the intersection with via Ponte Pietra) connects to the Monterosso roundabout above the ring road; the closure between numbers 26 and 31 will therefore cut Viale Giulio Cesare into two closed-end parts, where only residents and pedestrians will be able to access. Furthermore, in the same period there will be a ban on parking with forced removal in the parking area at the entrance to the former Reggiani. Those who need to reach the outskirts from the center will be able to take via Suardi in the final stretch, which connects to via Corridoni.

In Ponteranica, however, the traffic of the Maresana, Papa Giovanni, Pontesecco and Valbona streets will be modified. These last two roads in particular, which are currently closed for works, will be reopened on Tuesday 25 June. But that same day Via Maresana will be closed on the entrance to the town for those arriving from state road 470. This is to create a one-way exit along Via Papa Giovanni. You can therefore only enter Ponteranica from via Pontesecco, continuing along via Valbona.
These traffic changes will remain in effect until July 15th, when via Papa Giovanni will be closed to traffic in both directions until the completion of the works which is expected only at the end of the year. Access to the road will only be allowed to residents. From 1 July until June 2026, instead, the cycle path that affects the Ramera Tunnel, from Bo.po and up to the exit that falls within the territory of Bergamo, will be closed.
