Called into question by the opposition councilor Massimiliano Bernardi in relation to a promised but never realized council reshuffle, the secretary of the Carrara Democratic Party Luca Barattini replied as follows: “We regret having to respond to the attack that Bernardi brought, to me personally and without any reasonable reason, on council reshuffles , stadium and departments. I am amazed by the attitude with which he discusses my political history, forgetting to say, however, that this is the clear demonstration of how much my commitment is aimed at finding solutions in favor of the citizens and certainly not for my own. personal ambition, if I participate in the political life of the city, even more so for my current role and despite the vicissitudes he so meticulously lists. Since this time I have to write down his considerations, let me know, from now on, that I will not lose anything else time for further answers should he continue to call me into question for the future. This is because I am preparing to discuss other much more important proposals for the city, together with the people who are a lively and proactive part of the party to which I am honored to belong, useful to agree on all the actions that, together, we deem necessary to make a better city for our children and grandchildren. As a final note, we take the liberty of suggesting to Bernardi, who has covered, from time to time, with his support, almost the entire constitutional arc, to take action to do what he is called to do by his voters: a proactive opposition that can demonstrate to everyone the depth of his political action”.
