FRANCESCO LOIACONO – Cerignola has announced the renewal of the contract of Miguel Angel Sainz Maza, the Spanish striker, until 2026. The previous agreement would have expired on 30 June 2024, but the Ofantino club has decided to secure the player’s performances for another two years .
Sainz Maza’s season
In the season just ended, Sainz Maza played 21 games for Cerignola, scoring one goal. Despite the modest haul of goals, the contribution of the Spanish striker was decisive for the team, which reached the Play Offs. However, Cerignola’s adventure ended in the second round of the group stage, with elimination in work of Casertana.
Sainz Maza’s career
Miguel Angel Sainz Maza boasts a very respectable CV. In Italy, he played with several teams including Gubbio, Cavese, Sicula Leonzio, Foggia, Pordenone and Reggina. Before his Italian experience, he played in the B team of Barcelona, in the Under 19 team of Barcelona and in the youth sector of Racing Santander. He also wore the Spain Under 17 shirt as a starter, demonstrating his talent from a young age.
Future goals
With the renewal of his contract, Sainz Maza is preparing to be a fundamental player for Cerignola in the next season of Group C of Serie C. The Spanish striker hopes to contribute with goals and high-level performances to help the team improve results of the season just ended.
