The wake-up call is free, but at 11.30 we meet in the room reserved for the technical meeting. At 12.45 it’s time for lunch and immediately afterwards, the players chosen for the interviews head towards Casa Azzurri. For everyone else it’s time to relax: indoor pool, spa with Finnish sauna, mountain bike trails and mini golf course. Added to these activities is the games room, created by Spalletti also to avoid nocturnal exaggerations. There are the much talked about PlayStations, but also table football, table football, pinball and ping pong. At 4.15pm training at the stadium, while at 8pm it’s time for dinner, before freedom and the night time. In short, no prohibitions, but certainly a lot of responsibility.

REFEREE ZWAYER
Felix Zwayer will be the referee of Italy’s debut match against Albania. The 43-year-old German has refereed Italy twice. The balance is positive: a victory (5-2 against Macedonia) and a draw (1-1 against Poland). Together with him, assistants Stefan Lupp and Marco Achmuller. Fourth official Siebert, at VAR Dingert and Dieperink (Dutch and the only non-German of the refereeing team) will be at VAR.
TRAINING TESTS
Spalletti reunites with Barella and Fagioli (who however remains out against Albania), who are back in a group on the pitch together with their teammates. Spalletti tried Calafiori again alongside Bastoni, with Di Lorenzo on the right and Darmian on the left; Stretcher next to Jorginho, with Chiesa, Frattesi, Pellegrini and Scamacca in front.
