Amalfi Coast – Bisceglie is war between clubs for the pitch. A tight battle with no holds barred for the club from Puglia to put the team from the Amalfi Coast in difficulty which could reach the historic finish line of the D series.
In response to Bisceglie’s request to play the playoff final on a neutral pitch, Costa d’Amalfi, through a note, reiterated that the return match of the Eccellenza national play-off final will take place on the “San Martino” pitch ”, Sunday 16 June with kick-off at 4pm. The club underlined that all the home matches of the season were played in this facility, without any logistical or safety problems.
President Savino specified: «The regulations provide that the finals will be played in a home and away match at the respective playing fields. Playing such an important match on a neutral pitch would cause enormous, serious and irreparable damage to our team.
But it doesn’t end here, from Campania to Puglia, Bisceglie counterattacks by asking for the match behind closed doors, asking for reasons of public order for the possible arrival from Puglia of Bisceglie fans and also of Barletta’s rivals twinned with the team from the province of Salerno. An unexpected war perhaps because they believed they could easily get to Serie D and now they find themselves in a stumbling block like the Amalfi coast who incredibly start as favorites and therefore Bisceglie are playing everything.
