ready asphalt plan worth 1.8 million euros

The asphalting plan is ready which, until the end of the year, will affect the municipal streets and sidewalks of Vicenza. The restoration of the road surface concerns 12.5 kilometers of municipal roads, for a total of 78,000 square meters of new paving, to which are added interventions on 2.5 km of sidewalks, for a surface area of ​​a further 4,500 square meters.

The works will see the Municipality of Vicenza at the forefront, in collaboration with Amcps, V-Reti and Viacqua, as part of the fulfillment of the regulation for the execution of excavations on municipal roads, which provides for the definitive restoration of the pavements following works to strengthen, update or extend underground utility networks. The overall cost of the work will be approximately 1,800,000 euros, of which 918,000 will be financed by the Municipality, divided into 728,000 euros for the streets and 190,000 for the sidewalks.

«This plan for the restoration of the road surface and maintenance of the pavements is the result of important team work – explained Cristiano Spiller, councilor for public works and mobility, during a presentation which took place this morning at Palazzo Trissino, together with Giacomo Bortolan of Vi-Reti, Massimo Dalle Ave of Amcps and Alessandro Paris of Viacqua -. To plan this series of interventions there was in fact careful coordination between the various entities working on road works. This synergy between the Municipality, Amcps, Vi-Reti and Viacqua allows us to minimize inconvenience for citizens and avoid overlaps between construction sites. Furthermore, with this plan, the Administration confirms maximum commitment and attention on the road and pavement maintenance front, investing almost one million euros of its budget as part of a program worth a total of 1 million and 800 thousand euros”.

Some interventions of the plan have already been completed in recent weeks in the Angels’ army, by the Municipality, in Strada Marosticana, Piazza Duomo and Via Capraia, by Vi-Reti, and in Via Valdagno, Via Pellico, Via Natta and always in the wake of the Angels, on the part of Viacqua.

In the coming months the streets affected by works carried out by the Municipality will be via Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia, via Brigata Regina, via Brigata granatieri di Sardegna, via De Amicis, via Battaglione Monte Spluga, via Monte Vodice, via Battaglione Aosta, viale del Mercato Nuovo, Corso Santi Felice e Fortunato, Viale Battaglione Framarin, Viale d’Alviano bridge, Via Fra Paolo Sarpi, Via Galilei, Viale della Tecnica and Viale della Scienza.

Those affected by the Vi-Reti works will instead be Strada della Paglia, Strada Postumia, Strada Commenda, Strada Setteca’ from Strada Paradiso to the railway, Strada Setteca’ from number 432 to the railway, Strada Setteca’ from Ca’ Balbi to number 392, lateral Ca’ Balbi street number 490, Ca’ Balbi street, Caveggiara street, via Cipro, stradalla Stalli, corso Santi Felice e Fortunato, via Bachelet, via Miani, street Maglio di Laghetto, via Giorgione, via dalla Scola, via Corbetta, via Cimarosa and via d’Acquisto.
Finally, the streets affected by Viacqua’s works will be via Falzarego from number 65, Stradella Rotonda, via Vigolo and via Magenta.

Particular attention will also be paid to the maintenance of sidewalks. The Mobility, transport and infrastructure sector of the Municipality, as part of the Plan for the removal of architectural barriers (Peba), will in fact intervene on the pavements of the Cattane district, along via Cavalieri di Vittorio Veneto, in via Bainsizza, via Thaon di Revel, via Monte Spluga and via Brigata Granatieri di Sardegna. Subsequently the construction sites will move to via Porto Godi and via Zaguri. Amcps will instead intervene in via Piccoli, via Zambeccari, via Dian, via Quadri and via Rossini.
