PESARO Pecco and Domizia get married on July 20th: this time it’s all about singing. Yesterday, the act with which the second Moto GP world champion and the fashion buyer intend to get married was published on the Municipality’s notice board. Publication in Pesaro, where Bagnaia has his residence – and is also an honorary citizen – and at the same time in Turin where his girlfriend Castagnini still officially lives. Now everything is ready for what will surely be the VIP wedding of the summer which will bring the “celebs” of the world championship and sport to Pesaro.

Pecco and Domizia will say the fateful yes on the afternoon of Saturday 20 July in the Duomo and then move, together with all the guests, to the splendid Villa Imperiale for the reception, the same one that two years ago was chosen by the champion Gianmarco Tamberi to say yes to his Chiara Bontempi. And the couple (except for pre-Olympic commitments given that the Games will begin on 26 July and “Gimbo” will be the flag-bearer of Italy) should be among the guests, also considering their mutual support, including the very recent compliments via social media posted by Bagnaia for the stellar feat achieved at the European Athletics Championships in Rome. Valentino Rossi certainly cannot be missing (Bagnaia, when very young, joined the VR46 Academy) and Francesca Sofia Novello, as well as Luca Marini with Marta Vincenzi, who is pregnant.
Pecco and Domizia’s wedding will fall in a period of break from racing with the break in racing and a week before the World Ducati Week. The champion comes from a good victory at Mugello (as well as having also won the Sprint on Saturday), with a great comeback after starting in fifth position on the grid due to a penalty during qualifying. In the general classification he is in second place, 18 points behind Jorge Martin. Next race in Holland on June 30th, then the convoy will move to Germany for the race on July 7th. And at that point Bagnaia will be able to start dedicating himself exclusively to marriage, considering that the next grand prix will be on August 4th in Great Britain.
In recent days, after the victory at Mugello, Pecco and Domizia appeared in the historic center hand in hand. A couple who fully enjoy the city, still reside in the port area but after the wedding they will move to a villa. On March 1st Bagnaia became a meritorious citizen of Pesaro, with a ceremony at the Scavolini Auditorium. On that occasion, in addition to the presentation of the plaque by the former mayor and now MEP Matteo Ricci, the champion spoke about himself in a long chat on stage together with Mauro Sanchini, former two-wheel rider and television commentator.
For eight years
Pecco and Domizia have been a couple for eight years. In 2019 the move from Chivasso, in the Turin area, to Pesaro. Castagnini graduated from the three-year course at Iaad (the Institute of Applied Art and Design) with a course in “Apparel and Accessories Marketing Operations”, then attended a Master’s degree in “Fashion Buying” at the Istituto Marangoni in Milan, undertaking the career as fashion buyer for the historic Ratti boutique. In the meantime Domizia has already celebrated her hen party. Not once but twice. With lifelong friends first Chivasso and then Barcelona, but before that in Pesaro with a fun parody of the reality show Beijing Express, renamed “Pecchino Express” for the occasion.
