The new fake text message scam from the ASL of Sassari.

In Sassari several reports about a new scam of those who pretend to be the ASL. It is precisely the health company that launched the appeal for fake text messages and WhatsApp messages which, for a few days, have been arriving on the cell phones of the population of north-west Sardinia.

In recent days the Postal and Communications Police service has alerted healthcare companies regarding the spread of text messages that use the theme of coronavirus to capture the attention of recipients. Added to this are the reports received in recent days in the offices of the ASL of Sassari.

In this regard, the Sassari Local Health Authority, taking up the indications of the Postal Police, therefore invites you to be wary of these and similar messages, avoiding opening the attachments they contain or linking to any addresses or calling the numbers indicated. The postal police invites you to be wary of messages of the following nature: “Please contact our social and health offices for communication. Call and listen to 89341409”. This is the message received by ASL users: “Please contact our social welfare office on 89341472 for a communication concerning you”

A subterfuge to have a paid number called, which quickly dries up the credit. The advice of the ASL of Sassari remains to pay maximum attention and not to be misled by
similar communications, and reminds the population that the health authorities of the regional health service, such as the ASL of Sassari, never use paid numbers but exclusively toll-free numbers.
