“We say heartfelt thanks to the entire team on the Forza Italia list who gave their best to achieve the objectives we had set ourselves: re-electing mayor Gian Luca Zattini and strengthening our party”. These are the words of Joseph Catalano, city secretary of the Forlì Azzurri, the deputy and president of the regional coordination of Emilia Romagna Rosaria Tassinari and Giuseppe Petetta, outgoing councilor for the Environment and Roads.
Catalano specifies: “We are very happy with the excellent result, because we are bringing 3 councilors like the League to the city council and because we are improving Forza Italia’s consensus, going from 6.89% five years ago to the current 7.17%, contradicting even in Forlì there were those who thought we were dead. Furthermore, also in terms of number of preferences, we went from 1,564 to 1,834, thanks to the commitment of all of you”. The three elected councilors are Alberto Gentili with 310 preferences, Giuseppe Petetta with 242 and Giulia Versari with 115.
Catalano, Tassinari and Petetta underline: “Now we must continue to work with the Zattini administration, engaging in the various institutional roles, in politics and in daily life at the service of the city and of all the people of Forlì, without exception – as demonstrated by the representation of our candidates on the list – where we live, to continue to put into practice the ideals and principles of Forza Italia, which we have tried to explain in the months of preparation for the vote. As regards our beautiful Forza Italia team in Forlì, we must continue united in the defense and diffusion of our ideals in personal, social and civic life, but also continuing to strengthen the party, which is growing not only nationally, but also local”.
In this regard, the city secretary Catalano says: “The number of people from Forlì continuing to ask to join Forza Italia, attracted by our moderation and sense of renewal.” The Azzurri exponents conclude: “This is also a positive and hopeful sign for renewing the party founded by Berlusconi and led with wisdom, moderation and balance by our national secretary Antonio Tajani”.
