The change of ownership – whose official status is expected in a few days – is leading to several farewells at Ravenna, despite the excellent sporting season which ended with second place in the standings in group D of the Serie D football championship, which was concluded by the Giallorossi however first in the field (the Pistoiese case weighed heavily).
After the announcement of the end of the working relationship with the director Andrea Grammatica and with the head of the youth sector Claudio Treggia, now comes the farewell of the coach Massimo Gadda. First with an outburst on Gadda’s own social media (“A month of silence may be enough, my adventure in Ravenna ends here and it’s something I choose without knowing anything about the intentions of the new company”), then with an official press release from company a few hours later.
«To those who ask me if I was disappointed – continued the technician’s outburst on Facebook -, I say no, no because I no longer expect anything from this world and when you don’t expect anything you accept whatever happens. Of course I would have liked to give continuity to the great work done in these two years, but then there are choices and it is normal that those in charge are free to make them. And choices must be accepted because that’s right. I leave, proud of having brought back an enthusiasm that hasn’t been seen in Ravenna for years. And in Ravenna, which I know well, it is not so obvious. I thank Curva Mero and all the fans for the affection and certificates of esteem they gave to my boys and my staff. I coached Ravenna in Serie D for two years, starting from the beginning, and I came first both times. I can step aside easily. I should thank many people but I won’t mention names because I might forget someone, I will do it personally.”
