Civil commitment and the environment in Sassari in the fifth edition of “Asynchronouse”

Four different locations in Sassari for five days of screenings and exhibitions. The 5th edition of the festival conceived and curated by the collective of filmmakers and photographers will take place from 26 to 30 June 4CaniperStrada.

The international festival “Asynchronouse” is a free space where you can interact with authors from all over the world and with their works on art, civil commitment, the environment, memory, freedom of peoples, in particular the Palestinian one, to whose cinematography an entire day.

Opening June 26th at 7pm The Room, at the Garibaldi Hemicycle, with an aperitif. On the same day and until the 28th the cinema Modern Cityplex will screen the selected documentaries in their original language with Italian subtitles, all regional premieres, and all in the presence of the directors.

Among the guest directors, Oskar Alegriawith the film “Zinzindurrunkarratz” (“Gian Paolo Paoli” plaque from the Festival dei Popoli for the best anthropological film), and the director and editor Edoardo Morabito with “The Outpost”on the life of the eco-warrior Christopher Clark, produced with Rai Cinema and presented at the Giornate degli Autori of the Venice Film Festival (meeting in collaboration with Società Umanitaria Alghero).

Third place of the festival is lo Bunker space (via Porcellana 17/A), where Tamara Merino’s exhibition “Underland” and the one entitled “Parallel Eyes” by Alessia Rollo.

On the last day the festival moves to the Spazio Tev (via Giuseppe de Martini) for a focus on Palestinian cinematographyin collaboration with the Ponti Non Muri association, with the Palestine Film Institute, with Al Ard Film Festival and with AAMOD – Audiovisual archive foundation of the workers’ and democratic movement, with the participation of the director and artist from Bethlehem Emily Jacir.
