Lamezia, the “Pitagora” secondary school has won multiple awards in competitions and musical events

Lamezia Terme – At the end of the school year, the “Pitagora” secondary school, with a musical orientation, is proud to announce “the numerous successes obtained by its students in various competitions and events. The awards obtained and listed below not only testify to the talent and dedication of the students, but also to the commitment and quality of the education offered by the Institute”.

The school, led by the Director Giuseppe De Vita, they inform, “has shone with its orchestra at the 4th International Music Competition “Great Music Events”, in Camigliatello Silano, obtaining the 1st prize with a score of 97/100 and at the 13th National Music Competition “Primavera In Musica 2024” in Laureana di Borrello with the 2nd prize, score of 85 /100. Conducting the orchestra is Prof. Giuseppe Mimmo Rotella. The jury praised not only the musicians’ impeccable technique, but also their ability to communicate deep emotions through music. Also the flute orchestra “I Pitagorici”, directed by prof. Francesco Rotella, participated in the “Ragazzi in gamba 2024” event and obtained second prize at the XV “Paolo Serrao” music competition, city of Philadelphia. At the 13th National Competition “Primavera in musica 2024” our students of guitar, led by prof. Claudio Fittante, demonstrated extraordinary skills, taking first and second place in several categories, including: soloists category Daniel Mastroianni 1st Prize with score 93/100; Salvatore Lucchino 2nd Prize with score 86/100; Andrea Leone 2nd Prize with score 88/100.

Further prizes were awarded at the IV International Music Competition “Great Music Events” in Camigliatello Silano. In section 1 Category A3 Daniel Mastroianni 1st Prize with score 96/100, Salvatore Lucchino 2nd Prize with score 92/100, Andrea Leone 2nd Prize with score 95/100.

In the specialty Clarinet, the school obtained the Clarinet Ensemble Award at the IV International Music Competition “Great Music Events” Camigliatello Silano: 1st prize with a score of 96/100. Prof. will guide the kids. Gerardo Olivo.

In the specialty pianothe boys, led by Professor D’Audino, participated in the 13th National Music Competition “Primavera In Musica 2024” Laureana di Borrello where they received various prizes including:

The school will continue to promote and support its students, offering them unique opportunities to grow and shine in the musical landscape. A trip to Vienna and Salzburg to participate in the public concert to be held in the Musikhaus Hallein has already been planned at the beginning of the 24/25 school year for students of musical courses”. Planned educational visits to the “Stille-Nacht-Museum”, to the “Keltenmuseum” Hallein, a visit to Salzburg, its attractions, to WA Mozart’s house. Also in preparation is a visit to the “San Pietro a Majella” Conservatory in Naples. “We are proud of these goals – concludes De Vita – we will continue to work to make the school increasingly inclusive and open to the territory so that our students can reach new horizons and achieve further successes”.
