The Azienda Trasporti Automobilistici Foggia SpA (ATAFSpA), a subsidiary company of the Municipality of Foggia, pursuant to the resolution of the sole director of 19 June 2024, announces that on 1 July 2024 at 12.30 pm, at the headquarters of the The company will hold a public auction for the sale of a single batch of 42 buses for scrapping. The starting price is 21 thousand euros and only equal or increasing offers are permitted.
The collection of the vehicles must take place within 15 days from the date of receipt of payment, a deadline that can be extended for a further 5 days due to technical problems. After this deadline, the successful bidder will be charged an additional 10 euros per day by car.
Well, this scrapping, for the company which very frequently witnesses its vehicles being burned in the street with the hero drivers engaged in evicting passengers, will coincide with the arrival of new buses from the Region.
With the Management Decision of the Mobility Department, Local Public Transport Section of the Puglia Region of 03/18/2024, the Municipalities assigned to the new buses purchased by the Puglia Region were identified. The new buses will be licensed for use; Among the entities is also the Municipality of Foggia and, for it, its TPL company ATAF SpA, recipient of 42 buses coming from the Lot of 3 Iveco brand long buses. Some brand new circulars have already arrived, to the full satisfaction of the drivers.
