“We waited a few days to analyze all the data and better understand the extent of the result of the Alleanza Verdi Sinistra in our city”. It is the Alleanza Verdi Sinistra – Aprilia that analyzes the vote after the European elections and underlines that it has achieved: “a historic result”.
“Our list in Aprilia – explain the activists – is close to 7% (6.85%) and even manages to exceed the important national figure of 6.78%. A very strong result in the seats in the City Centre, with figures that exceeded 10% in some sections but with a good success also in the suburbs and villages. This result, however, is not the result of chance but of at least three factors:
The first: the ability to be united. At a time when the country is increasingly torn apart, at a time when many political experiences are divided, often out of mere calculation, AVS has had the strength to make the collective and diversity its driving force.
The second factor: the ability to speak to young people. Topics such as the environment, wages, health and innovation must enter the political agenda in a strong way, the country asks for it and we want to represent these issues clearly.
The third factor: the need for a left that is certainly modern but also anchored to its own values. In fact, today the right questions the cornerstones of our Constitution, civil rights and is not interested in issues such as rising prices and poverty and we cannot help but propose a strong, innovative and credible alternative to the country.
“AVS has fielded a varied and credible list. Ignazio Marino, head of the list, was elected to the European Parliament and, in the city of Aprilia alone, he obtained 340 preferences. But not only. A list formed by the credibility of people like Marilena Grassadonia, young people like Luca Boccoli or Lucrezia Iurlaro and activists like Paola Bernasconi, an Aprilian by adoption. An important result that must be a driving force for change in policies that, today, appear short-sighted and harmful.”
