The second edition of the Aster Cheer Festival was held on June 1, 2024. The event took place in a special place, dedicated to Camilla Bessone: Camilla’s forest, in the Gesso and Stura River Park in Cuneo, which gave added value to the atmosphere of the evening.
Despite the initial unexpected events, linked to rain and bad weather, which led to the start of the evening being postponed, the Aster Cheer Festival was a great success among the public and the other participating companies: the Titans of Alba Cheer, the Predators of Chiavari, the Clikerine of the social center of the Buzzi Unicem factory in Robilante and the rhythmic gymnasts of the ASD Team Cuneo.
For the awarding of the “Camilla Bessone Award” the judges Laura Lucchino, Claudia Martin, Andrej Nedeljkovic and Spela Slejko discussed at length, as two groupstunt in particular, belonging to the Alba Cheer company, caught the attention for their skill and stage presence. After careful evaluation, the Prize was awarded to the youngest groupstunt who stood out for their charisma and confidence in performing their routine.
Winning the Award also includes free access to the Open Season Camp which will be held on 20, 21 and 22 September; further details regarding location and participants will be communicated soon.
The President of the Aster Cheer company Giacomo Bassignano states: “Despite the weather, which made organization and rehearsals difficult, we are very happy and satisfied with the result obtained and that the festival took place in such a magical place as Bosco di Camilla. It was the perfect conclusion to this year full of satisfactions. We thank all the teams who accepted our invitation, the authorities and the Municipality of Cuneo. Finally, we thank the warm participation of the public, which made everything even more special.”
