Two more new head doctors (there are ten in a year) appointed by the general director of the S. Croce and Carle Hospital, Livio Tranchida.
Massimo Chiarpenello will be the director of the Dermatology complex structure (the top position was vacant following the retirement of Doctor Bertero) of the S. Croce and Carle Hospital. Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Turin, specialized in Dermatology and Venereology at the same University, since 2004 he has been responsible for the Medical Area branch at the ASL CN1, since 1999 an internal specialist in the discipline of Dermatology and Venereology at the ASL CN1 where he works on the Cuneo and Mondovì hospital sites (previously on other CN2 sites as well).
Since 2006 he has been the medical contact for the territorial vulnology clinic of the ASL CN1. In the past, among other things, he was a medical assistant at the Forensic Medicine service of the former Local Health Authority 15 in Cuneo. Tutor in post-graduate specialization courses in General Medicine, he has carried out teaching activities in some courses at the University of Turin and has been a teacher in numerous provincial, regional and national training events. Dr. Chiarpenello will take up his new role on September 15th.
Domenico Vitale is the new director of the complex Cardiothoracic Anesthesia and intensive care unit of the Hospital. Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the La Sapienza University of Rome and specialized in Anesthesia and Resuscitation from the same University, Dr. Vitale has been carrying out clinical activity in the anesthesia and cardiothoracacovascular intensive care department since 2014. Since 2018 it has performed 1200 anesthetic procedures, in the hybrid room, in the Hemodynamics and Electrophysiology room, in Thoracic Surgery, for the main cardiac surgical procedures in adults. In the past he carried out activities at the level II DEA university hospital company Policlinico Umberto I in Rome, and at the Mondovì hospital. He is a tutor for undergraduates and postgraduates in Anesthesia and has participated in numerous conferences as a speaker. He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications.
Livio Tranchida, general director of the Hospital: “In the first year of my mandate I appointed ten directors of a complex structure and one of a departmental structure. We continue with the priority objective of filling vacant positions at the top of the structures, rebuilding a good collaborative relationship between the strategic management and the teams; a relationship of trust that allows teamwork and consequent excellent outcomes for company activities.
