New data on restaurant prices in Olbia.

Inflation has risen again in Olbia, where the city and, in general, Gallura, is in second place forincrease in prices in restaurants. This was decreed by a recent survey conducted by Istat on inflation in various Italian territories. In Olbia, in May 2024, the increase in prices was 6.6% and the Gallura territory is in second placepreceded only by Benevento, with 14.1% of price increases.

According to Istat data, in May 2024, annual inflation reached reach 14.1% also in Olbia. The increase in prices involved not only restaurants (3.6% national data), but also pizzerias (3.1% Italian data), bars (3.3%), ice cream parlors and pastry shops (3.3%) and food delivery (2.9 the national figure). As regards the general increase in prices, Olbia and Gallura far exceed the national average of 3.3% across all catering sectors.

Life is more expensive in Olbia.

The city isn’t doing well in terms of either.domestic economy. Recently theNational Consumers Union has drawn up the ranking of the most expensive cities and regions in Italy, relating to the month of April 2024revealing that Olbia is the place where the cost of living is among the highest. The city is in 20th place in the national ranking, with 282 euros more in annual spending for families living in the area.
