The concert by pianist Dana Andreea Nigrim will mark the return of the “Armonie della Magna Graecia” festival, in its twenty-seventh edition, on Saturday 15 June in the splendid atmosphere of Palazzo S. Chiara in Tropea, between classical and chamber music, starting from 9.30pm.

The Montreal pianist Dana Nigrim, of Romanian origins, will offer the public a wide and varied programme, with a classical-romantic repertoire of particular beauty and celebrity: from Liszt’s Dream of Love to the Polonaises of Chopin, the poet of the piano, up to to the impalpable refinement of the music of Debussy and his Colline d’Anacapri.

The one on Saturday 15th will be only the first of approximately twenty-five events which will continue until late autumn, with artists of exceptional international fame such as the Soloists of the Accademia di S. Cecilia and the Tonhalle of Zurich and the Janacek String Quartet, a of the most important and historic quartet formations in the world.

Of particular importance within the event will be the presence of the Ensemble of the Bacau Philharmonic Orchestra, the Avantgarde Quartet of the pianist Nicolas Bourdoncle, the four-handed duo “Rossini”, as well as programs with famous film music by the Trio De Salon (Romania) and the pianist Lucio Grimaldi, who will also play in August in Girifalco, a municipality which enthusiastically participates in the Festival every year

Numerous opera concerts, with the tenors Federico Veltri and Raffaele Tassone and the sopranos Sara Zito and Alessandra Basso, in duo with the pianists Raffaella De Vita and Sara Zito.

Candlelight concerts by pianist Emilio Aversano, artistic director of the Festival, will also return and there will be space for a special concert by pianist Liliana Parisi, who will present an interesting program of contemporary music.

Of note are the concerts of the violinist Renato Donà in Duo with the pianist Daniele Paolillo and that of the Magna Graecia Quartet, a formation that will debut in 2025 as part of the Milan Musical Evenings season.

The return of Piano Time on July 14th, a traveling music festival through the historic center of Tropea, will finally embellish the already prestigious programming of the Festival.

The lively concert season, which will extend until October, is made possible thanks to the contribution of the Calabria Region and the Municipality of Tropea
