The soldiers of the Guardia di Finanza Company of Crema, at the end of a detailed investigation coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Cremona, seized financial assets and real estate for a total value of approximately €310,000.00 from a company operating in the assembly of plastic materials based in the province of Cremona.
In particular, the investigative activity arises from a tax audit carried out by the Fiamme Gialle at the end of which the turnover and income achieved by the aforementioned company which over the years has failed to submit the required tax returns was reconstructed.
The assessment of the real economic-financial dimension of the company made it possible to quantify the taxable base subtracted from taxation by the company, between the years 2017 and 2023, equal to approximately €3,400,000, the amount of income taxes evaded equal to over €780,000, as well as the VAT due and unpaid amounting to over €420,000.
The directors of the company were referred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Cremona for the alleged crime of failure to declare.
Furthermore, on the sidelines of fiscal activities, the use of n. 26 “illegal” workers, for whom the mandatory prior notification of establishment of the employment relationship was not found, and an administrative fine of €70,200.00 was contested.
The service activity demonstrates the constant commitment of the Guardia di Finanza, in close synergy with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, in combating all forms of fraud and tax evasion, detrimental to the financial interests of the community, while guaranteeing, at the same time, the recovery of proceeds from tax evasion to return them for the benefit of the community.
