NewTuscia – VITERBO – The second edition of the European Market in Viterbo will start in a few hours. The event, scheduled until Sunday 16 June in via Marconi, piazza dei Caduti and piazza della Repubblica, organized by the national association of operators in public areas (ANVA Confesercenti) in collaboration with the Municipality of Viterbo – department of local economic development and tourism, Confesercenti and provincial ANVA, with the patronage of the Province of Viterbo and the Rieti Chamber of Commerce and Viterbo, it will offer four days of street food with kitchens on the road, breweries, typical products, food and wine and a market area.

“In light of the over 45 thousand attendances recorded last year, at the first edition in our city, we are pleased to host again an event that the administration strongly wanted and that the citizens showed they appreciated – stated the mayor yesterday Chiara Frontini during the press conference at Palazzo dei Priori -. For four days Viterbo will be a concentration of flavors and aromas, belonging to many countries around the world. Thanks to the organizers for the excellent work carried out last year and thanks for the commitment with which they worked to put together this second edition which is about to begin. Thanks to the councilor for local economic development Silvio Franco for the support guaranteed by the IV sector and to councilor Nunzi for coordinating all the various bureaucratic and administrative aspects.
“This year the international exhibition of trade in public areas will see the participation of over 40 operators from 18 countries – explains the city councilor responsible for relations with businesses Marco Nunzi -, some of which are already present in the 2023 edition. They mostly come from European countries, but not only. There will be no shortage of stands from Tuscia featuring excellence from our territory. A great showcase for four days.”
Finally, thanks from the municipal councilor Nunzi to the national manager of the European Market Riccardo Rosselli, to the ANVA national coordinator Adriano Ciolli, to the Confesercenti provincial president Vincenzo Peparello and to the ANVA provincial president Alessandro Gregori.

The European Market will be officially inaugurated at 8pm today, but from this afternoon it will be possible to visit most of the stands. In the following days it will be open from 10 am to midnight.

With regard to the road system in the area affected by the event, please note that from 7 am on June 13th until the end of the market dismantling phase (June 17th), vehicular transit on Via Marconi will be prohibited. Furthermore, until midnight on June 16th, a parking ban will be established in Largo Marconi for all categories of vehicles, with the exception of the vehicles of market operators (ord. n. 332 of 4-6-2024 and n. 355 of 11-6-2024, local police).
