The framework of the 76 elected members is taking shape – even if some knots still remain to be resolved European Parliament after the elections on Saturday 8 Friday 9 June, twenty of whom were elected in the north-western constituencywhich includes Lombardy, Piedmont, Valle d’Aosta and Liguria.
Seven MEPs elected at quota Brothers of Italy: having said that the most voted, that is, the President of the Council of Ministers Giorgia Meloni, will not leave for Strasbourg, they are elected Carlo Fidanza, Mario Mantovani – also elected mayor of Arconate -, Giovanni Crosetto, Lara Magoni, Pietro Fiocchi, Mariateresa Vivaldini And Paolo Inselvini. Among the ranks of PDinstead, there are five elected: Cecilia Strada, Giorgio Gori, Alessandro Zan, Irene Tinagli And Brando Benifei; Zan, however, was also elected in the north-eastern constituency, and if he opted for the north-east he would give way to Pierfrancesco Maran.
Three people were elected to the League: Roberto Vannacci – who however was elected in all the constituencies except the island one with the consequence that Angelo Ciocca could take his place -, Silvia Sardone And Isabella Tovaglieri. However, two seats in the European Parliament will go to Forza Italia: to occupy them, given that the Foreign Minister will not leave Italy, Letizia Moratti And Massimo Salini. To represent the 5 Star Movement for the North West, however, it will be Gaetano Pedullà.
The picture is completed by the two seats assigned to Greens and Left Alliancewhose “owners”, however, are still to be defined: Ilaria Salis, Mimmo Lucano and Ignazio Marino, the three most voted candidates, were in fact also elected in other constituencies and could give way to Benedetta Scuderi and Giovanni Mori.
