Pisa, 12 June 2024 – A dramatic episode of domestic violence took place Sunday 9 Junearound 3pm, when a police car from the Pisa police station intervened following a request for intervention in the area Cisanello. The reportingwho arrived in the operations room, came from a woman who reported that she and her younger daughter had been beaten by her husband. The man, of Egyptian nationality, was under the influence of alcohol and had locked the lock on the front door, hitting with slaps his wife and daughter. According to the victims’ statements, the violence arose after the man discovered that his wife had not warned him about a walk with her daughter. Furthermore, the man had scolded her daughter for her clothing, considering her to be his inappropriate leggings. Having intervened on the spot, the police immediately placed the woman and her daughter in a protected facility, ensuring them the necessary protection. At the same time, the man was urgently removed from the family home due to mistreatment in the family. Yesterday, Tuesday 11 June, the Police Commissioner of Pisa issued a warning provision for domestic violence towards the man, underlining the seriousness of the situation and the need for rigorous measures to prevent further episodes of violence.
